SIEMAG TECBERG Group, together with its Vietnamese partner VINZA Corporation, can look back on a successful trade fair appearance during Mining Vietnam in October this year.

SIEMAG TECBERG Group has been involved in Vietnam for many years and has already very successfully installed or carried out shaft hoisting technology and associated system integrations for the company Vinacomin NuiBeo Coal JSC within the scope of the NUI BEO project - including two 4-rope Koepe hoisting machines each for production and personnel transport, as well as a 1-rope drum hoisting machine for service transport. The 4-rope Koepe hoisting machine for the production shaft has been handed over to Vinacomin NuiBeo Coal JSC at the end of 2021.

With the NUI BEO project, which was already started in 2012, VINACOMIN has developed further underground deposits, for each of which a vertical production and service shaft with depths of approx. 350 m were built. After commissioning with SIEMAG TECBERG production equipment, approx. 2 million tons of energy raw materials will be extracted annually from underground via the production shaft.

Vinacomin NuiBeo Coal JSC is mainly engaged in the mining of energy raw materials as well as other supporting activities, such as the construction of mining facilities, transportation services, and assembly and maintenance work for mining vehicles and equipment. The NUI BEO energy raw materials mine is located in QuanNinh Province, 170 km west of the capital Hanoi, and belongs to the state-owned VINACOMIN Group, which is the most important Vietnamese mining company with an annual production of approximately 35 million tons.

Similar to other mining markets, the mining industry in Vietnam is increasingly focusing on underground mining. Vietnam is starting to take more responsibility for environmental protection, but also to increase production efficiency in processing plants, to develop new underground mines and to push for the closure of open-pit mines. Currently, the state-owned mining company VINACOMIN operates 20 open-pit mines, some smaller coal mines and 30 underground mines.

Against this background, the trade fair provided ample opportunity for informative discussions between SIEMAG TECBERG Group and representatives of the domestic mining industry. SIEMAG TECBERG is a specialist for efficient shaft hoisting technology, is currently participating in further tenders for shaft hoisting technology and is looking forward to supporting the Vietnamese mining industry in further projects with its globally recognized engineering expertise.
