SIEMAG TECBERG's Own-developed, safe and reliable disk brake units

SIEMAG TECBERG disk brake units have been successfully used on numerous winders for many years. These units demonstrate a high performance capability covering a wide range of applications.

Our braking units can be used as a safety, driving and holding brake. They are constructed totally enclosed and can be used in the toughest operating conditions on winders, cableways, cranes and passenger and goods lifts. For the use on winders our own-developed brake elements, which are approved as components in compliance with the German Mining Regulations for Shaft and Inclined Conveying Equipment (BVOS), are fitted to system-adapted brake posts, in which the elements transmit the braking force to the brake disk or disks of the rope carrier. The braking force is applied under control to protect the hoisting equipment and on KOEPE hoisting systems to prevent rope slippage. Braking force is generated bypretensioned springs and opened hydraulically, so that in the event of fault the system can also be brought to a halt without the use of electrical power. Both wear on the brake linings and spring breakage are monitored and indicated.
