TECOM Australia now a member of SIEMAG TECBERG group

TECOM Australia is now officially a member of the SIEMAG TECBERG group and, as part of its business development, will operate in the area of automation and drive technology. TECOM Australia will continue as an independent company in its present premises at Mayfield East, Newcastle.

The company concentrates principally on wireless systems for mining applications and has installed existing systems in 8 mines. The new SIL-rated system is currently at the commissioning stage in a further 6 mines in New South Wales. In recent years, TECOM Australia has extended its radio/wireless technology to include SIL-rated dozer telemetry systems and so gained for itself new market potential in Australia. A further potential business field is the goaf gas drainage and gas monitoring systems and devices. In this area, TECOM Australia provides proven technology and 20 years of experience. 

TECOM Australia, with its communication systems, is also breaking into new markets such as road infrastructure, defence and overseas markets.
